This policy explains what information Viscara Media ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to viscaramedia.com and our client portal.

Who we are

Viscara Media is a done-for-you social media content and website design studio based in Sydney, Australia, serving clients worldwide. For any privacy question, contact us at info@viscaramedia.com.

Information we collect

We only collect what we need to respond to you and deliver our services:

  • Enquiries: when you use our contact form, we collect your name, business name, email, the service/plan you’re interested in, and your message.
  • Account & portal: if you become a client, we collect your account details (name, email, business), and information you provide through onboarding — such as your brand, goals, audience and preferences.
  • Uploads & deliverables: files you upload (photos, brand assets, requests) and the finished content we deliver back to you in the portal.
  • Authentication: if you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information (name, email) from Google to create your account.
  • Technical: essential cookies that keep you signed in. We do not currently run advertising or analytics tracking.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry and discuss working together.
  • To provide our services — creating content, designing your website, and delivering work for your review and approval.
  • To manage your account, send service notifications (e.g. when a deliverable is ready), and provide support.
  • To handle billing and payments for the services you’ve agreed to.
  • To meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t use your data for advertising.

Service providers we use

We use trusted third parties to run our business. They process data on our behalf and only as needed:

  • Supabase — secure database, authentication and file storage for the client portal.
  • Resend — sending transactional emails (enquiry notifications, account emails).
  • Vercel — website hosting.
  • Google — optional “Sign in with Google” authentication.
  • Stripe — secure payment processing (when billing is enabled). We don’t store your full card details; Stripe handles them directly.

Some providers may process data on servers outside Australia. We choose reputable providers that protect your information in line with this policy.

How we protect your data

Access to the portal is protected by authentication and row-level security, so clients can only see their own data. Information is encrypted in transit, and downloads use short-lived secure links. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to delete your account data at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that’s inaccurate or out of date.
  • Delete your data, where we’re not required to keep it.

Children

Our services are intended for businesses and people aged 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll change the “last updated” date above, and significant changes will be communicated where appropriate. See also our Terms of Service.
